Chris Bowyer
Tommy Neal- Tommy becomes the 11th member of the JF Legends "Class of 2010" because of the
courage and fortitude he showe during his senior year competing the entire season with a
torn acl. Though not able to wrestle his style, he never complained and simply worked hard
throughout his final season of high school wrestling. Despite not being able to wrestle to his
optimum level, Tommy still earned his 2nd straight All State honor and finished with over 100
career wins.
Chris Bowyer- Chris wrestled eventual 285 state champion while giving up roughly 85 lbs. in a 3 - 6 loss.
He was a 2x state qualifier who was 88-7 in his final two seasons. Of those 7 losses, four
were state champions, a runner-up, a 3rd place, and another All State. Of those seven 4
were multiple All State honorees. With 119 career wins after missing almost all of his
sophomore season with a knee injury, he is without a doubt one of the three best athletes
to ever wrestle at JF. He also sported a 4.4 g.p.a. He was also a All District defensive
lineman...and Homecoming King!
Brandon Beemer - Broke a bone in his forearm while wrestling with his coaches in the weeks prior to the
district tournament only to get the cast cutoff a few days before the tournament and
then won his 1st of 3 district titles. As an unheralded junior he wreslted the #1 ranked
wrestler in the nation in the Region III finals. In the time that most thought the match
might last, Brandon stunned everyone by scoring a 5 point takedown in a 7-9 loss. It
was the only time his opponent had been put on his back in his high school career.
Brandon was a 2x time All State honoree(7th, 3rd). He was 99-10 over his final two
seasons with an amazing 79 wbf. Included in those losses were State Champions and
finalists and two nationally ranked wrestlers by a combined 5 points. Brandon is
undoubtedly one of the four best wrestlers to ever compete at JF. He was also an All
District defensive lineman.
Zack Cox- After tearing every ligament in his knee during a football game, Zack sat out most of his
sophomore season only to return against doctors advice to win 10 matches including several
key to his team's victory. It was a turning point in his career. As a junior, again shortened by a
knee injury, he won 31 of 37 matches with 28 wbf including an amazing 26 in the first period.
Conner Frackelton- Connor rose from obscurity to become a state qualifying wrestler. Conner had a
problem, however...he was better in the classroom that he was on the mat. He had
been invited to visit Olin College, a small and very inclusive institution of higher
learning in MA, on the very weekend of the state tournament. Conner chose his
future over the state wrestling tournament.
Danny Chao- Not by record or by stat, but because he built himself into a state qualifier (with no program
to speak of)...in one of the toughest weight classes...in less than four years. Uncomplaining
he wrestled the final 3 matches of his career with an injured, noticeably swollen elbow...yet
he outwrestled the eventual runner-up in his weight class for about 5:40 of a six minute
match in a 1- 4 loss in which the referee involved himself heavily. Many have wrestled here
with greater ability, but none have wrestled here with more heart.
David Allen- 1980 AA State Champion 167<>1981 AA State Runner-up 185<> 1979 AA State 3rd place 167
To achieve what David Allen has is exceptionally special. A 4x state qualifier, 3x All State
honoree, 2x finalist, 1st ever JF state champion, 3x Region champion, 4x district finalist, 3x
district champion, completing an undefeated junior season. David Allen is the best athlete to
have ever competed for JF.
JF Legends
Jason Hendershot- Jason became just the 2nd wrestler to win a state championship for JF winning the
130 title in 1997.

Titanium Team (157+ career wins)
160 - 22.............Adam McGeoch...(2002 - 2005)
Adam McGeoch- With a work ethic that is legendary, Adam was a 2x State Qualifier, Region Champion,
and 3x District Champion. He is the 1st JF wrestler to defeat a Christiansburg wrestler,
which he did by fall in the Region III finals. Adam's 160 career wins, against only 22
losses, is the best ever in JF history. Adam not only worked hard for his own
accomplishments but also for his teammates...he was always willing to advise, push, and
work with those around him. Adam is one of the best wrestlers to ever compete for JF.
Chip Reed- Starting his wrestling career late, Chip became frustrated with constant losing, so rather than
quit and give up, he asked his coach what he could do to get better..."wrestle". So Chip began
wrestling all spring and summer and worked with teammate and friend, Adam McGeoch, to
improve his skills. Chip's dedication paid of with a district championship his senior year.
Then, by his own admission, made a costly mistake that cost him a trip to the State tournament
at regions. Chips's dedication and single minded focus to become as good as he could be is
all that any coach could ask or hope for.
Paul Kim- Paul was a 2 time state qualifier for JF who battled a Albert Childress of Grundy, a 4x state
champion and legend in Virginia wrestling, in a 1 - 0 loss where the only point was one that Paul
let him have in hopes too score the decisive takedown on the brute who outweighed him greatly.
