---On December 15, 2008 this unheralded crew of no name wrestlers punched the perennial Seminole
District power Brookville square in the mouth and did what no one outside the
JF wrestling room thought
could be done on a night these guys will never forget...beat the Bees for the 1st time in the history of
Cavalier wrestling, 39 - 34 when junior Josh Grant got the decisive points with a fall at 1:50. The match of
the night was Tommy Neal, 5th at 160, versus reigning Region III Champion Nathan Shuler. Leading for
most of the match Tommy hung on to score a huge 10 - 7 upset, setting the stage for Grant to seal the deal.
The Cavaliers jumped out to a 24 - 0 lead with falls by Zack Cox(215), Josh West (285), Blake Woodall (103),
and Will Drinkard (112).  The gutsiest performance of the night belonged to Josh Bowyer who fell behind
early wrestling a weight above where he weighed.  But the deficit that loomed before him was not nearly as
big as his heart as he battled back with the guts and determination that only champions possess, only to
run out of time in a 10 - 11 loss.  Jarrett Payne also contributed with a fall at 145.
